PSG Sponsored, TEAM RARE BIRDS attends the MMRF 5k Walk/Run in Philadelphia on November 11th, 2018 in support of Multiple Myeloma research.
2018 was a BIG year for PSG, but one of our proudest moments was supporting the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. The journey to 10k started with supporting the Dania Beach, Florida walk as volunteers. We were inspired by the patients and caregivers and believed in the MMRF mission to raise awareness and financial support for multiple myeloma research. This experience prompted us to begin fundraising for the Philadelphia walk that November.
With the help of the PSG team and our 3 sponsored participants, we hosted an amazing Beef and Beer at the Five Four Bar & Grillein Levittown, PA, on October 19th, 2019. This event raised almost 8k in donations by way of basket auctioning from local businesses, and placed PSG in the top 10 teams for fundraising.
The day of the walk was chilly and spirits were high. PSG team “Rare Birds” participated enthusiastically and was honored that the wife and family of a PSG Multiple Myeloma donor flew all the way from Louisiana to join in the walk!Thanks to everyone who made the walk happen; we couldn’t have done it without you!
